Course: Introduction to Game Development

Next week Adrián and I (Sergio) will begin a new course at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Spain).

Our role in this course is to teach our students how to deal with the different areas involved when developing a game, like: game architecture, graphics (drawing, animations…), AI, input, sounds and music…

We hope that our students manage to create a very simple game on their own during this course and, of course, that they learn a lot!

To this purpose, we have chosen Microsoft XNA as development framework: it’s easy and has a great community behind it with tons of documentation.
